Privacy Policy

Sparro Frontier AI Learning Lab, an initiative by Sparro AI ("Sparro", "we", "us"). Effective date: July 2026 · Version 1.0. This document explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal data of visitors, applicants, and members ("you") and is issued in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011.

1. Data Fiduciary and contact

Sparro AI acts as the Data Fiduciary in respect of the personal data described here. Our Grievance Officer can be reached at the details in Section 12. By using this website, booking a demo, taking a skill test, or purchasing a membership or level, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

2. Personal data we collect

2.1 Data you provide

  • Identity and contact: full name, WhatsApp number, email address, and optionally your college or company.
  • Enrollment data: the levels or membership you purchase, skill-test tier selected, skill-test scores, and fee-credit balances.
  • Community data: messages, project submissions, and hackathon entries you post inside the Lab Console.

2.2 Data collected automatically

  • Device, browser, IP address, and approximate location for security and analytics.
  • Usage events (pages viewed, sessions attended, GPU credits consumed) to operate and improve the lab.
  • Cookies and similar technologies for authentication and preferences (see Section 8).

2.3 Data we do not store

Full payment-instrument details (card number, CVV, UPI PIN, netbanking credentials) are collected and processed solely by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment partner. Sparro never sees or stores these.

3. Purposes and lawful basis

We process personal data only for specified, lawful purposes: (a) to provide the services you request, cohort scheduling, session links, WhatsApp OTP login, Lab Console access, skill-test scoring, and fee credits; (b) to process payments and issue invoices; (c) to send service communications about your enrollment; (d) to maintain safety and prevent fraud or misuse; and (e) to comply with law. Our lawful basis is your consent and the necessity of performing our contract with you. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time (Section 7).

4. Marketing communications

We will send you cohort and product updates only where you have opted in or are an active member. Every marketing message carries an unsubscribe option; withdrawing marketing consent does not affect service communications essential to your enrollment.

5. Disclosure of data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: (a) processors who help us operate, payment gateways, WhatsApp and SMS messaging providers, cloud hosting, video-conferencing, and GPU-compute providers, each bound by contract to protect it; (b) authorities where required by valid legal process; and (c) a successor entity in the event of a merger or acquisition, subject to this Policy.

6. Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, tax and accounting records are kept for the statutory period). On account closure we delete or anonymise data that we are not legally required to keep. Records of levels you have completed are retained so that your certificates remain verifiable.

7. Your rights

  • Access and correction: obtain a copy of your data and correct inaccuracies.
  • Erasure: request deletion of data we are not obliged to retain.
  • Withdrawal of consent: withdraw consent for processing based on it.
  • Grievance redressal and nomination: raise a complaint, or nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act, 2023.

To exercise any right, contact our Grievance Officer (Section 12). We respond within the timelines prescribed by law. Deleting your data ends Lab Console access.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for login sessions and security, and limited analytics cookies to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser; disabling necessary cookies may break login and the Lab Console.

9. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege practices, proportionate to the sensitivity of the data. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; in the event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as required by law.

10. Children

The lab is intended for users aged 18 and above. Where a member is a minor, we require verifiable parental or guardian consent before processing their data, in line with the DPDP Act, 2023.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law or our practices. Material changes will be notified by email or in the Lab Console. The "Version" and "Effective date" above indicate the current revision.
